Module:Hash/doc

Computes the CRC32 checksum of a string, as lowercase hexadecimal without leading zeros. {{Inline spoiler}} uses it to build an id from the spoiler's text, which links the toggle to the hidden text. Two spoilers with the same text on one page therefore get the same id.

• crc(frame): {{#invoke:Hash|crc|text}} returns the checksum of text.
• crc_internal(str): the same for Lua. It returns the string "nil" when str is nil.
