Module:Navbox/doc
This is the documentation page for Module:Navbox
Implements {{Navbox}}, the navigation boxes at the bottom of articles, which templates such as Template:Navbox buildings, Template:Navbox experiments, Template:PerfectNavigation and Template:ProgressionGuides build. It is a 2019 copy of Wikipedia's Module:Navbox. The parameters are on Template:Navbox.
navbox(frame): for the template. It reads the template's arguments;bordermay also come from the invoke._navbox(args): the same from a Lua table.
The look comes from MediaWiki:Common.css (classes navbox, navbox-title, navbox-group, navbox-list and so on, in the brand kit's colors); the *style parameters add inline CSS on top. The title bar gets the Module:Navbar links when name is set, unless navbar is off or plain. The default state autocollapse is handled by MediaWiki:Common.js: the box starts collapsed when the page has two or more collapsible elements.
On template pages (but not on /doc, /sandbox or /testcases subpages, and not with nocat), it adds Wikipedia's tracking categories: "Navigational boxes without horizontal lists" (no listclass such as hlist or plainlist), "Navboxes using background colours", "Navboxes using borders" and "Potentially illegible navboxes" (contrast below 4.5, checked with Module:Color contrast). A child navbox that isn't inside a parent adds "Navbox orphans". None of these categories exists on this wiki.
